Head of Offensive AI Security & Technical Excellence

In this leadership role, you will steer LRQA's offensive AI security testing proposition across LLMs, agents, and AI systems while owning technical standards and the development of talent within Offensive Services. You will establish LRQA as a credible authority in offensive AI security and manage a global accelerator programme for talent mapping and career pathways. The role blends hands-on security leadership with strategy, delivery excellence, and cross-region people development to support scalable, high-quality AI security work.

- Build and own the offensive AI security testing methodology and harness for LLM, agentic, and AI-enabled systems aligned to OWASP LLM Top 10, NIST AI RMF and EU AI Act
- Own technical standards, peer review, QA and R&D across all offensive service lines as the function's technical authority
- Act as technical sales lead: shape scope with clients, support bids, present to technical and executive buyers
- Lead and develop pod leads and consultants, defining technical direction, career pathways, and certification plans under the 5x5x5 training model
- Deliver personally on client engagements to maintain hands-on credibility and meet utilisation targets
- Drive AI-enabled delivery by adopting governance-friendly AI tooling to improve coverage and quality without compromising confidentiality or safety
- Collaborate with peer Heads to keep consultants fungible across service lines and enable a pooled delivery model
- Maintain health and safety and regulatory compliance within the team as part of project planning and execution
- Oversee talent mapping and accelerator programme globally to expand the offensive services capability
- Strong offensive security background with demonstrable AI/ML security work for LLM or agent-based systems
- Understanding of attack surfaces including model, prompt, data, and supply chain
- Ability to set technical standards across a multi-disciplinary function
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior members
- Desirable: published AI security research or tooling; familiarity with AI assurance frameworks and regulation; experience integrating AI into delivery workflows at scale; recognized offensive certifications (e.g., OSAI, CREST CCT, OSCE3)
