About WeArisma

WeArisma is a video and social AI intelligence platform for consumer, sports and media brands. Our AI recognises brands in images, video and audio, so we find the brand content other tools miss, even posts with no tag or mention at all, and turn it into insight and strategy for brands such as Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Shiseido and Pinterest.

The role

You’ll own technology and product end to end: the platform, the data, the team and what we ship. This is a hands-on leadership role combining engineering, technical direction and product management.

Working with two engineers and a dedicated UX/UI designer, you’ll have the autonomy to shape how we build. Your focus will be on making AI central to development, turning large-scale multimodal data into useful intelligence, and keeping our architecture reliable, scalable and cost-efficient.

We need someone who communicates clearly across the company, makes sound decisions about priorities and trade-offs, and keeps shipping a great product.

Must Have

  • 10+ years in software development, and still shipping production code. You have at least 10 years of building software, including designing enterprise-level system architecture, and you've shipped production code yourself in the last year, not only managed people who do.
  • Has led engineers and works well across teams. You've been a tech lead or engineering manager. When new requirements come in, you can lay out the options, trade-offs and a plan, and lead the conversation until design, product, sales and leadership agree on scope and timeline.
  • Uses AI in their daily work and has shipped an AI feature to users. AI agents are part of how you build every day, and you’ll show us how you work with them during the interview process.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

The attitude we’re looking for

  • Seek fast-paced quick thinking environment
  • Strong ownership
  • Curious & self-directed
  • Quality-obsessed
  • Efficiency-minded
  • Commercial instinct
  • Personable & warm
  • Solution-Oriented
  • Ambitious for growth
  • Adapts communication to technical and non-technical audiences

What you’ll do

  • Lead the engineering team. Coach our engineers, set technical standards and review practices, and hire as we grow.
  • Own product delivery. When new requirements come in, work out the options, set out clear trade-offs and a plan, and lead the conversation until the team agrees on scope and timeline. Agree priorities with the COO and turn customer needs into features with our designer.
  • Own the architecture and keep building. Shape how the platform evolves, write and ship production code, and balance new features against performance, reliability and technical debt.
  • Run the data platform. Own the data, indexing and cloud infrastructure behind our large-scale multimodal platform, built to enterprise standards for reliability, security, accuracy and cost. Lead migrations and manage relationships with social platforms and data providers.
  • Make AI central to how we work. Use AI agents throughout development, maintain quality through effective review, and ship AI-powered features and useful workflow automation.
  • Solve problems across the business. Help sales and customer success navigate complex technical questions, assess urgent requests and make realistic commitments.

What success looks like

  • First 30 days - Start taking ownership of some day-to-day technical decisions.
  • First 90 days - Own releases and the technology roadmap end to end, with AI agents part of the team’s everyday workflow.
  • First 180 days - Lead a major migration or AI initiative end to end, with measurable gains in reliability and delivery speed.

What we offer

  • Real ownership, with direct influence on product and company direction.
  • Work used by global brands across fashion, beauty, sports and media.
  • A small, close-knit team where your work has visible impact.
  • 25 days annual leave in addition to public holidays
  • Health and Dental insurance
  • Annual team offsite trip to a European location
  • Hybrid co-working space - 2 days London, remainder remote
  • Monthly coaching session and team lunch / dinner
