Hematology/Oncology Physician

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Hematology/Oncology Physician in Pendleton, Oregon.

Med Ninjas is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for long-term locum tenens coverage at an outpatient hospital-based clinic located in Pendleton, OR.

The Physician must be available starting January 1, 2027, for approximately 9 12 months of coverage.

This assignment includes outpatient hematology/oncology care, chemotherapy program leadership, bone marrow biopsies, and collaboration with hematology/oncology-trained support staff. No inpatient practice or call is required.

Shift: Monday Thursday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; 3 weeks per month. Three days per week may be considered
Start Date: January 1, 2027
End Date: Approximately 9 12 months from start

Position Details:
Patient Population: Outpatient hematology/oncology patients
Setting: Outpatient clinic and hospital-based outpatient services
Responsibilities: Provide direct outpatient care and serve as chemotherapy program director/provider
Required Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies
EMR System: eClinicalWorks (ECW) and Meditech
Support Staff: Hematology/oncology-trained ARNP and nurses
Days Per Month: 3 weeks per month, typically Monday Thursday
On-Call/Weekends: No call; weekend requirements not specified

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified in Medical Oncology or truly Board Eligible within 0 5 years of residency completion
• Hematology board certification highly preferred
• Active Oregon license highly preferred; IMLC and non-licensed candidates may be considered but must obtain an Oregon license during credentialing
• Residency/fellowship completion, BLS, and DEA required; DEA must be obtained during credentialing

Additional Information:

• One physician needed
• Expected patient volume: patients per day
• Approximately 1 3 consults per week
• No patient admissions or inpatient practice
• Bone marrow biopsy capability is mandatory
• Reason for coverage: Current provider retirement on December 31, 2026
• Credentialing can be completed within approximately 30 days after receipt of documents
