Locums - Eau Claire, Wisconsin Hematology/Oncology Opportunity
Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist for ongoing locums coverage in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This community-based Cancer Center provides care for both ambulatory and hospitalized Hematology/Oncology patients, with shared night and weekend call responsibilities.
Assignment Details
Start: February 2027
Ongoing need
Consistent availability of 2 weeks per month preferred
Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
1-hour lunch
Shared night and weekend call
Assigned and unassigned patients
30-minute call response time required
Position Highlights
Community-based Hematology/Oncology practice
Mix of outpatient and inpatient consultation
Established Cancer Center
18 chemotherapy infusion chairs
2 non-chemotherapy infusion chairs
Radiation Oncology services available
Bone marrow biopsies may be performed onsite
Level III Trauma Center
Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage Hematology/Oncology patients
Provide ambulatory consultations
Provide hospital-based consultations
Participate in shared night and weekend call
Manage assigned and unassigned patients
Collaborate with physicians, NPs, infusion staff, and Radiation Oncology
Complete routine clinical documentation and treatment planning
Procedures & Skills
Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred
General Hematology/Oncology management
Inpatient and outpatient consultation
Support & Technology
2 physicians
3 Nurse Practitioners
Radiation Oncology services
18 chemotherapy infusion chairs
2 non-chemotherapy infusion chairs
EMR: Cerner
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
Hematology/Oncology fellowship required
Must be able to provide approximately 2 weeks of coverage per month
Must meet a 30-minute call response requirement
Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred
