Senior Frontend Software Engineer (React / TypeScript)  


Location: â¯Bristol, UK  
Working model: â¯Hybrid ââ¯2 days on â site per week (mandatory)  


 


Role Summary  


We are seeking⯠Senior Frontend Software Engineers â¯to work within cross â functional⯠feature teams â¯delivering front â end led capabilities for the⯠Data Marketplace . The role focuses on building⯠accessible, high â quality, and well â tested user interfaces â¯on a cloud â native platform running on⯠Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .  


Engineers are expected to take strong technical ownership of frontend delivery, contribute to technical direction, and support other engineers within the team.

Skillsets required:  




Primary focus on experienced Frontend Software Engineers, with strong React expertise .  
Proven experience building accessible, testable, scalable user interfaces.  
Strong test-first mindset (TDD) and confidence writing automated tests.  
 
Hands-on experience with:  
* React, JavaScript/TypeScript  
* JestJS and modern frontend testing practices  
* Accessibility standards (WCAG) and tooling (axe-core) 
 
Desirable (bonus) skills:  
* Backend development with Java / Quarkus  
* Working with REST APIs and PostgreSQL  
* DevOps exposure across CI/CD pipelines, containers and Kubernetes  
 
Experience operating at Senior level, including:  
* Technical ownership of solutions  
* Coaching/mentoring other engineers  
* Contributing to architectural and technical direction
