Overview

In this role you will empower a large HPC system supporting translational cancer research. You work closely with scientists to enable cutting-edge diagnostics through high-performance compute, storage, and kernel-level technology. You will manage Slurm clusters and advanced storage, helping the team scale data-intensive experiments. This position offers a hands-on, collaborative environment with a crisp core-hour schedule and a mission-driven culture. You join a small, focused team driving impactful healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and operate a large HPC environment (Slurm clusters) and storage systems (GPFS, Lustre, Isilon)
  • Provide hands-on support to scientists, enabling translational cancer research
  • Work with Linux kernels and core HPC tooling to optimize performance
  • Maintain and optimize storage and compute infrastructure to support a 25 Petabyte system
  • Collaborate within a small, cross-functional team to deliver reliable compute resources
Key requirements
  • strong professional HPC experience
  • familiarity with Slurm, GPFS, Lustre, and Isilon
