As HR Projects and Workday Specialist, you will support the CHRO in delivering organisation-wide HR initiatives, with a strong focus on the enhancement of the Workday environment - to include Workday implementation, and optimisation, and day-to-day management. This role will play a critical part in driving transformation across the business, working collaboratively across functions and multiple European locations.

Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Projects and Workday Specialist to support the CHRO in delivering organisation-wide HR initiatives, with a strong focus on Workday implementation and optimisation.

This role will play a critical part in driving transformation across the business, working collaboratively across functions and multiple European locations.

Workday Implementation & Management

  • Support and contribute to the end-to-end Workday implementation lifecycle, including design, build, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide hands-on configuration and build expertise within Workday modules.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful delivery.
  • Onboard new businesses and countries into Workday with all the specifics this entails (data collection, EIB, change management).
  • Support post-implementation optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide user support where required.

Application Management Services (AMS) Interface & Ticket Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between the business and AMS support provider.
  • Manage and prioritise Workday-related tickets, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with business needs.
  • Monitor ticket queues, track SLAs, and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Ensure clear documentation, categorisation, and reporting of incidents, service requests, and enhancements.
  • Work with AMS partners to support defect resolution, minor enhancements, and system improvements.
  • Identify recurring issues and drive root cause analysis and long-term fixes.

Project Support

  • Assist the CHRO in delivering organisation-wide HR and business transformation projects.
  • Coordinate and track project activities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Support change management and communication activities associated with projects.

Cross-Regional Collaboration

  • Work effectively across European markets, ensuring alignment and consideration of local requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders across different countries to support system adoption and project delivery.

General HR & Business Support

  • Provide support on ad-hoc and minor HR projects as required.
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives across HR.
  • Explore how AI tools can support the HR function by improving efficiency, reducing manual administration, enhancing data insight, and helping HR better anticipate and respond to business needs.

This role requires the post-holder to work from the Basingstoke office 2-3 days per week.

Profile

  • Strong Workday expertise - ideally with experience that includes implementation/supporting on implementations, Workday configuration and optimisation, and day-to-day management of the Workday environment.
  • Ideally your Workday experience will include supporting employees across multiple countries/regions.
  • You will possess the ability to contribute to broader HR and business projects.
  • Understanding of basic HR processes such as employee records, recruitment, onboarding, performance, absence, or reporting.
  • Experience supporting projects, events, process improvements, or administrative change activities.
  • Able to work with data accurately, with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable learning new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks, deadlines, and follow-up actions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident engaging and communicating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and service providers, ensuring clarity, follow-up, and visible progress.
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues across HR, IT, and the wider business.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach and willingness to ask questions, learn, and take ownership of tasks.
  • Able to analyse information, identify issues, and suggest practical improvements.

This role requires the post-holder to work from the Basingstoke office 2-3 days per week.

Job Offer

This HR Projects and Workday Specialist role offers the following:

  • Base salary up to 60,000 depending on individual experience and capability.
  • Company bonus scheme.
  • 25 days annual leave, increasing to 26 days at three years' service and 28 days at five years' service (bank holidays are in addition to these annual leave days).
  • 5% employer contribution to pension (employee must contribute at least 3%) - auto enrolment from day one.
