HRA Technical Lead

This senior ecologist role leads national HRA delivery within a multidisciplinary consultancy, shaping strategy and expanding the firm’s HRA capability across the UK and Ireland. You will drive technical direction, oversee complex projects, and foster client relationships while mentoring a team of specialists. The role emphasizes growth through bids, high-quality outputs, and knowledge sharing within a collaborative environment. • Lead delivery and QA of HRA and RIAA across a national portfolio
• Set technical direction and foster innovation in HRA practice
• Lead bids, tenders, and commercial opportunities
• Mentor and develop technical specialists; promote knowledge sharing
• Oversee complex project delivery as Programme Manager; ensure compliant, client-focused solutions
• Engage with local authorities and clients; build strong stakeholder relationships

• Extensive experience in Habitat Regulations Assessment, including large-scale projects
• Strong leadership and team development experience
• Excellent understanding of relevant legislation and guidance
• Proven stakeholder engagement and commercial awareness
• Relevant degree and professional membership (e.g. CIEEM); Chartered status desirable
• Public Inquiry experience highly desirable
