Hydrological Modeling Engineer GoldSim
SLR Consulting
Hydrological modeling and GoldSim expertise define this Water Resource Engineer opportunity with SLR Consulting across Canadian mining projects.
As part of SLR’s Hydrogeology and Hydrology team, you will analyze climate and hydrological datasets, develop rainfall-runoff models, and build water balance models. The work supports mining projects through regional and site-specific hydrology characterization, water management, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process climate and hydrological datasets with QA/QC and statistical methods
- Perform hydrological frequency analyses for droughts and extreme wet conditions
- Develop, calibrate, and validate models for gauged and ungauged watersheds
- Build GoldSim water balance models for mine sites
- Prepare technical documentation, figures, assumptions, limitations, and findings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in water resources engineering, hydrology, or related discipline
- Graduate hydrology degree with modeling specialization preferred
- Three or more years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in R or Python and hydrological data-analysis libraries
- Eligibility for G.I.T. or E.I.T. registration and valid BC driver’s license
Apply hydrological modeling, GoldSim, statistical analysis, and water resources expertise to complex mining projects with SLR Consulting.
