Senior Java Engineer - Payments | ICON IPF

I'm working with a leading global technology consultancy looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join its payments technology team, supporting the delivery of large-scale payment solutions for major banking clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Java engineer with specialist ICON IPF experience to work on complex, cloud-based payment platforms within the banking sector.

The Role

• Develop and enhance large-scale payment systems using Java 11, Spring Boot and microservices.
• Work hands-on with the ICON IPF Payments framework.
• Build and support cloud-native solutions within AWS environments.
• Develop event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Work with ISO 20022 payment standards and schemes.
• Collaborate with major banking clients and technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on Java 11 and Spring Boot experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 payments and payment schemes.
• AWS, microservices and Kafka experience.
• Experience working with major banking clients.
• ICON IPF certification and 18+ months on the platform would be advantageous.
