Overview

In this Senior Infrastructure Engineer role, you will own the Microsoft-based user identity and device environment to ensure secure, efficient core infrastructure services. You’ll work within the Infrastructure Team to support Active Directory, Windows Server, O365, Azure, and traditional infrastructure, serving Council offices, community sites, and mobile locations. As a senior member, you’ll mentor junior staff and contribute to the Council’s ambitious digital agenda. This is a chance to shape a modern, cloud-enabled IT landscape for a World Class City Council.

Responsibilities
  • Own and secure the Microsoft-based identity and device environment
  • Deliver reliable core infrastructure services and support Windows Server, AD policy management, O365, Azure, and traditional infrastructure
  • Support Council customers across offices, community sites, and mobile locations
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
  • Collaborate with internal Applications Team and cross-functional groups to enable services
Key requirements
  • Experience with Active Directory policy management
  • Proficiency in Windows Server environments
  • Experience with O365 and Azure cloud services
  • Knowledge of traditional infrastructure and IT operations
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior staff
  • Experience in a public sector or large organization is a plus
