At The Law Offices of Roderick C. White, we believe great attorneys do their best work when theyre empowered, supported, and trusted to lead.
Were launching an immigration practice in our Dallas office, and were looking for an Immigration Attorney who wants a rare kind of opportunity: the chance to build a department from the ground up. This isnt a seat in an established practice with a playbook already written — its a chance to shape how we serve immigrant clients, set the standards, and grow into a leadership role as the department grows around you.
Why Join Our Firm?
If youve ever wanted a real voice in how a practice takes shape — case strategy, intake criteria, workflows — this is that opportunity. Youll work alongside our existing intake, case management, marketing, and operations teams, contributing directly to building out the immigration side the right way, from day one.
What You Can Expect
A true ground-floor opportunity — youll help define how this department runs, not just execute someone elses process
Direct access to firm leadership while the department takes shape
Support from existing intake, case management, and operations staff as the practice grows
Modern technology and case management systems already in place firm-wide
A voice in future hiring and structure as the department expands
A team culture built on accountability, professionalism, and client advocacy
What Youll Do
Because this practice is new, your day-to-day will take shape alongside you — but you can expect the role to include:
Advise clients on immigration options and strategy, including family-based petitions, employment-based visas, naturalization, asylum, and removal/deportation defense
Prepare and file petitions, applications, and supporting documentation with USCIS, EOIR, and other relevant agencies
Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, hearings, and consular processing matters
Conduct legal research and stay current on evolving immigration law and policy
Maintain proactive, clear communication with clients throughout the life of their case
Help establish intake criteria, case workflows, and best practices for the department as it grows
Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure efficient case progression and an exceptional client experience
If you have a particular area of immigration law you want this department to specialize in, we want to hear your vision for it.
What Were Looking For
The ideal candidate is self-directed, entrepreneurial, and excited by the chance to build something rather than inherit it.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active Texas Bar license and good standing
Immigration law experience strongly preferred; litigation or related experience considered
Comfortable operating with a high degree of independence in a new, still-developing practice area
Strong legal writing, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
Exceptional organization and time management
Spanish fluency is highly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
We recognize and reward exceptional performance. Our benefits include:
$85,000–$120,000 starting salary, commensurate with experience
Health, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with employer matching
Paid vacation, holidays, and paid time off
Professional development and continuing education support
Modern office with complimentary meals and workplace amenities
A collaborative culture where your contributions are recognized and valued
Schedule
Full-Time, Monday – Friday, in person (Dallas, TX office) with occasional after-hours intake.
