Finance Systems Consultant (Infor SunSystems Cloud)

SystemsAccountants is supporting an international not-for-profit organisation in their search for a Finance Systems Consultant on an initial 3–6 month contract to develop their SunSystems Finance System. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on supporting finance systems improvements, resolving technical issues, enhancing controls, and optimising system use across multiple regions. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong systems knowledge, especially in SunSystems and Proactis , and experience supporting finance transformation or systems optimisation in a complex, international setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead on finance systems enhancements, improvements, and issue resolution.
• Provide systems support and training to the finance systems team and internal users.
• Troubleshoot user queries and coordinate resolutions with software vendors.
• Review finance systems and processes to identify opportunities for control improvements and efficiency gains.
• Ensure up-to-date process documentation aligns with the organisation’s financial framework.
• Oversee maintenance and support for finance applications including accounting, procurement, expenses, and banking systems.
• Support change initiatives and ensure systems are aligned to business needs and finance control standards.

• Infor SunSystems Cloud (also known as SunSystems Multi-Tenant Cloud or SunSystems SaaS)
• Invoice Capture

Candidate Profile

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) OR equivalent finance systems experience.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
• Experience supporting and improving finance systems, particularly SunSystems and Proactis.
• Proven experience managing interfaces and integrations between financial applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach to systems/process redesign.
• Comfortable working in global, complex organisations and liaising with stakeholders remotely.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across finance, IT, and operational teams.
• Experience in international development or charity sector, and knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to global NGOs or non-profits is desirable
