Information Security Risk Consultant

Information Security Consultants at CIBC assess project risks and recommend safeguards, using threat analysis and critical thinking in a hybrid work arrangement.

Within Risk Management Services, you will assess planned initiatives and unplanned instances for security risks. You will interpret requirements, architecture diagrams, and complex information while balancing business needs against security concerns. Your recommendations will support informed risk choices, policies, procedures, and governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and conduct information security assessments
• Perform threat and vulnerability scans on internal devices
• Perform threat and vulnerability scans on external devices
• Review requirements documents and architecture diagrams
• Recommend practical, risk-based security improvements

Requirements:

• Five or more years in information security consulting
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering
• Strong critical thinking and investigative abilities
• Ability to communicate detailed information meaningfully
• CISSP, CIA, or CISM designation is an asset
