IT Field Engineer

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire – with travel to customer sites

Salary: £30,000–£40,000

Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting for a growing MSP looking for a hands-on IT Field Engineer with previous networking experience.

This is a network-focused role, supporting customers with installations, technical projects and day-to-day IT support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure and support Cisco and Fortinet routers, switches and firewalls.
• Assist with network infrastructure projects and installations.
• Provide on-site and remote IT support to customers.
• Support Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure and Hyper-V environments.
• Troubleshoot network, server, hardware and software issues.
• Work directly with customers and the wider IT/project teams.

About You

• Previous experience in IT Support, Networking or Field Engineering.
• Good understanding of networking, ideally with Cisco and/or Fortinet experience.
• Some experience with Windows Server, Azure, M365 and/or Hyper-V.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Comfortable travelling to customer sites.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• MSP experience is desirable but not essential.
