Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Build enterprise automation at BMO in Toronto, using Ansible and observability to improve reliability across infrastructure and platform operations.

This Automation Engineer role advances automation, reliability, and operational excellence across BMO. You will develop scalable solutions with Ansible, ServiceNow, Python, and observability technologies. The position also provides technical leadership and guidance across enterprise functions and multiple lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and ServiceNow
• Automate manual processes and reduce operational toil
• Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, application, security, and architecture teams
• Advise on automation, observability, and Site Reliability Engineering practices
• Ensure solutions follow enterprise security policies and standards

Requirements:

• Three to five years with Ansible, GitHub, and infrastructure automation
• Experience scripting with Python, PowerShell, Bash, JSON, and YAML
• Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles
• Knowledge of instrumentation, telemetry, monitoring, and alerting
• Strong Windows, Linux, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities
