Overview

As an IT Infrastructure professional at Thales, you will manage run and project activities across the infrastructure estate, focusing on platforms and virtualization. You will ensure reliable server infrastructure delivery, handling incidents and changes within SLAs and driving improvements. You’ll collaborate with CSOC and cross-functional teams to diagnose complex issues and implement technical solutions. This role supports critical systems in a security-conscious, dynamic environment and offers the chance to shape the stability and evolution of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Incident and task handling within SLA
  • Infrastructure maintenance, patching and fault finding
  • Plan and remediate obsolete infrastructure on platforms
  • Collaborate with other teams to diagnose complex issues
  • Execute lifecycle events per infrastructure roadmap and change management
  • Create and maintain accurate infrastructure service and asset records
  • Implement technical solutions for changes and service improvement
  • Participate in Service Transition
  • Deliver changes independently or in team settings
  • Identify and drive service improvement opportunities
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging infrastructure technologies
  • Coordinate with CSOC during cyber events
  • Perform other duties as commensurate with role
  • Raise changes and produce investigative reports
  • Update system documentation
  • Expand technical skills
  • Monitor and respond to alerts
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Bachelor Degree or minimum 3 years experience in a third line support role
  • strong VMware knowledge (ESX, VSAN, NSX, VRA)
  • Netapp storage expertise
  • Backup and DR experience
  • Server hardware experience (Cisco, HP, Dell)
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis abilities
  • Effective communication across levels and teams
  • Experience with change management and service improvement
  • Desirable: Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle; Linux (Red Hat), Puppet, IDM; PowerShell, Bash
