Infrastructure Engineer - Data Centre

Overview

In this role you contribute to civil infrastructure design for major data centre developments, guiding projects from concept to detailed design and construction. You work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver surface water, drainage, roads, and external works, coordinating with clients and authorities. You’ll apply UK design standards to optimize infrastructure layouts and supporting documentation. This is a growth-focused opportunity with exposure to technically challenging civils and cross-functional collaboration. You will help shape scalable infrastructure solutions in a dynamic engineering consultancy.

• Salary: 45,000 – 80,000

• Civil infrastructure design for major data centre developments
• Surface and foul water drainage design
• SuDS and drainage strategies
• External works, levels and earthworks
• Access roads, highways and hardstanding design
• Utility coordination and site-wide infrastructure
• Producing technical reports, calculations and specifications
• Collaborating with structural, MEP and multidisciplinary design teams
• Liaising with clients, contractors, local authorities and other stakeholders

• Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or similar
• UK civil infrastructure design experience
• Previous data centre experience (advantageous)
• Strong drainage, external works and/or highways experience
• Experience with Civil 3D, InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage/Causeway Flow and AutoCAD
• Experience delivering projects through detailed design
• Good understanding of UK design standards and approval processes
