Infrastructure Engineer, Db2

In this role you will design and maintain Db2-based infrastructure with a focus on security, resilience, and observability. You will build self-service infrastructure and IaC-driven solutions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with architectural targets. You’ll automate testing and enable a smooth route to live within customer-facing CI/CD pipelines. This position offers opportunities to influence product features and engineering practices across the bank, including Db2 for z/OS in an on-premise data center. You will help shape reliable, scalable infrastructure that supports business outcomes.
Responsibilities- Contribute to and manage the selection, creation and maintenance of technologies to meet customer and architecture needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and support engineered products and respond to user feedback and feature requests
- Develop technical skills through continuous learning and development
- Work within a team to design intuitive, self-service infrastructure products
- Contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions
- Work with users to help use our products and gain feedback
- Provide operational support for pattern or product related issues
- Generate innovative ideas and drive delivery of those through product features
- Advise and deliver projects using Db2 for z/OS database design principles and best practices
- Db2 database design and administration experience
- Automation scripting experience (Python or Shell)
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience with infrastructure as code tooling
- IBM Db2 toolset experience beneficial
