Infrastructure Engineer (Farnborough)

In this role, you will deploy, transition, and maintain critical IT applications and infrastructure for a vital operational environment. You will implement modern infrastructure solutions and work across teams to ensure secure, scalable services that meet project milestones and ongoing operations. You will shape best practices in a secure‑by‑design environment and contribute to continuous improvement of high‑stakes systems. • Deploy, transition, and maintain critical IT infrastructure and applications
• Implement modern infrastructure solutions using a broad tech stack
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate across technical and organizational boundaries
• Support project milestones and ongoing operational excellence
• Help shape security‑by‑design practices and infrastructure best‑practices

• Extensive experience with VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi, vSphere, NSX, VCLM)
• Strong Windows Server deployment, configuration, and management (AD, DNS, WSUS, GPOs, PKI)
• Proficiency with Linux (RHEL) server management
• Hands‑on experience with Dell PowerEdge servers, PowerVault storage, QNAP NAS, and data diodes
• Networking expertise including configuring switches and VLANs
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Automation, DevSecOps practices, and scripting (PowerShell)
• Knowledge of Veeam backup/replication and Trellix security tools
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and hyperscale AWS environments
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in fast‑paced environments
