Overview

As an Infrastructure Engineer in a fintech-focused data provider, you will own and evolve the company’s IT and disaster recovery infrastructure across multiple data centres. You will deploy and support Swift environments (SNL, SAG, Alliance Access) in production and DR, ensuring resilience for clients. You’ll manage corporate, production, and DR estates, drive security, and oversee asset provisioning. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role in a growing fintech business based in Central London, offering exposure to financial messaging and modern infrastructure. You will collaborate with teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure that underpins critical market data services.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage IT infrastructures across corporate offices, data centers, and outsourced services
  • Deploy and support Swift environments (SNL, SAG, Alliance Access) in production and DR
  • Oversee data centre management and infrastructure resilience
  • Drive IT security strategy and client implementations
  • Manage asset lifecycle (purchasing, tagging, documentation)
  • Support and install Swift messaging (ISO15022/20022, FIX, XML)
  • Administration of Windows Server environments and Active Directory
  • Networking and VPN/DNS/DHCP/SFTP administration
  • VMware-based virtualization and related features (VMotion, DRS)
  • General server and PC hardware support, including collaboration with teams on email and databases
Key requirements
  • 5 years of infrastructure support experience in financial industry or with financial messaging
  • Strong knowledge of SWIFT messaging formats (15022/20022) and FIX
  • Experience with SNL/SAG/SAA and Crest for Swift
  • Windows Server 2012+ and Active Directory
  • DNS/DHCP/VPN/SFTP/Group Policy
  • VMware with VMotion and DRS
  • MCP/MCSA/MCSE certifications
  • Networking knowledge including Site-to-Site VPN
  • Experience with real-time/transactional banking services
  • Basic SQL/DB querying experience (preferred)
  • Mitel & Cisco phone systems knowledge (preferred)
  • Experience in production and DR environments
