Overview

In this role you will maintain and manage a live virtualisation platform for a defence-sector client, becoming a technical authority in VMware-based environments. You will work within a cross-functional team to manage multi-tenant cloud domains, patch and deploy VMware Cloud Foundation components, and perform light data centre duties. The position offers a development path with DV clearance eligibility and on-site work in Farnborough. You will contribute to secure, scalable infrastructure that supports critical government missions.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the live virtualisation platform
  • Manage multiple domains in a multi-tenancy cloud environment
  • Patching, configuration and deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation environments
  • Perform light data centre management duties
Key requirements
  • Background in Infrastructure or Support with experience in or enthusiasm around virtualisation
  • Understanding of Server, Storage and Backup
  • Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, SDDC Manager, Aria Suite, Proxmox environments and Dell Avamar/Veeam
  • Good stakeholder management and engagement experience
