Overview

In this role you will design, build and support IT infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments to keep government services secure and available. You will work in Shared Application Support to translate architectural designs into operations and collaborate with 3rd parties and Technical Architects. The role requires sustaining 24/7 service availability and addressing faults with timely, accountable decisions. Responsibilities
  • Build, configure, transition, administer and support infrastructure technologies and solutions (compute, storage, networking, physical infra, software, cloud, COTS/open-source).
  • Resolve technical problems and ensure solutions meet business requirements; take accountability for actions and decisions.
  • Identify proper procedures and channels for resolution; monitor progress and communicate updates to users.
  • Investigate faults in systems/processes/services and advise on preventative measures.
  • Collaborate to align IT products, suppliers and vendors to deliver a cohesive IT service.
  • Apply designs from technical architects and use required standards/tools to build infrastructure solutions.
Key requirements
  • Demonstrable experience delivering IT services or technical solutions in a professional setting.
  • Good understanding of ITIL v4 and ability to apply it in IT support.
  • Strong understanding of core technical concepts related to the role and ability to build solutions.
  • Ability to dissect problems into components to identify root causes and resolve them.
