Overview

In this role you will lead the strategy, maintenance and development of the Skelmersdale site infrastructure to support safe, reliable operations and sustainable growth. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations and external partners to ensure assets perform, are compliant and future-ready. The role blends technical expertise with people leadership and project delivery, driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency. You will shape long-term infrastructure plans and manage CAPEX within Essity’s risk and safety framework.

Responsibilities
  • Develop long-term infrastructure and asset management plans
  • Lead and develop the Site Infrastructure team with a safety-focused, continuous-improvement culture
  • Manage CAPEX projects from concept to delivery with governance and budget control
  • Oversee utilities (electricity, gas, water, compressed air) for reliability and compliance
  • Maintain high- and low-voltage electrical systems and statutory requirements
  • Ensure buildings, facilities and infrastructure meet legal, safety, environmental and operational standards
  • Drive compliance with Essity's Risk, Environment, Safety and Health (RESH) framework
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-related business continuity plans
  • Manage infrastructure budgets and identify efficiency and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contractors to support site priorities and operational excellence
Key requirements
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
  • Experience managing infrastructure, utilities, facilities or engineering services in manufacturing/industrial settings
  • Strong project management and budget management capability
  • Knowledge of electrical infrastructure, compliance and asset management principles
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
