Overview

In this role you design, deploy and maintain IT and OT infrastructure to support manufacturing and business operations. You will lead resilient network and server environments, with cloud elements, while driving efficiency and security improvements. You’ll provide advanced support for IT/OT systems, ensure high uptime, and uphold GxP and data integrity in a regulated pharma setting. This role combines hands-on engineering with project delivery in a global pharma context.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement IT/OT infrastructure solutions to support manufacturing operations
  • Build resilient networks, server environments, and cloud-based solutions
  • Lead or participate in infrastructure projects from planning to execution
  • Assess and adopt new technologies for efficiency and security
  • Provide 3rd-line BAU support for complex IT/OT issues
  • Ensure maximum uptime of critical systems and disaster recovery readiness
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot networks, servers, and security devices
  • Utilize service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for incident handling
  • Maintain GxP-compliant IT infrastructure and data integrity ( CFR Part 11 )
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices including Zero Trust and network segmentation
  • Handle patch management and vulnerability remediation
Key requirements
  • Strong understanding of VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Experience with Windows Server and Windows Desktop environments
  • Basic Linux administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu)
  • Networking and security skills (Cisco LAN/WAN/VLAN, firewall tech)
  • Experience with backups and DR (Veeam or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL/MySQL
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS
  • Storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI)
  • Experience with HPE Synergy and Nimble Storage
  • Patch and vulnerability management
  • Experience with IT/OT in regulated environments
  • ServiceNow or similar ITSM tool experience
