Infrastructure Operations Engineer- Core Services

As an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer in Bristol, you will maintain and optimise core IT infrastructure within a global support context. You’ll ensure reliable, secure, and compliant systems while supporting 2nd/3rd line requests via Service Now. The role offers hybrid flexibility and exposure to diverse technologies across a changing environment. • Provide 2nd and 3rd Line support to escalations via Service Now
• Ensure server systems are available and compliant with company requirements
• Manage hardware and software faults per maintenance contracts and problem management
• Build proactive relationships with other teams and departments
• Support day-to-day Microsoft Server Platforms and MS Products (Windows Server 2012–2022/2025, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Archiving, Proofpoint)
• Utilise backup technologies such as Rubrik
• Maintain infrastructure security controls and encryption/access management
• Work out of hours for maintenance and changes
• Possibly support on-premises and cloud infrastructure and virtualization environments (Nutanix, Hyper-V/AHV, ESXi)
• Understand DNS, DHCP, Windows failover clustering, and file shares

• Experience delivering third-line support
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proven ability to drive automation of processes and tasks
• Experience with enterprise messaging (Exchange Platform)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
