Integration Architect
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The Integration Architect will be instrumental in the remaining stages of the South 4 LIMS project, with responsibility for integration work necessary for the transition of Cellular Pathology and Blood Transfusion services from current IT systems to the South 4 platform. This will involve working with supplier integration specialists to enable direct and TIE-mediated connections to order comms and other clinical systems, facilitating new capabilities such as integrated reporting, and ensuring compliance with existing enterprise architecture and established technical standards. The post holder will also assist in a project to migrate system hosting from physical data centres to a cloud hosted solution, guiding and overseeing aspects of the work relevant to systems integration for OUH (and South 4 Trusts as relevant). This will include mapping existing connections and likely impact of migration, advising on testing strategies, troubleshooting where necessary, and ensuring systems are fit for purpose and clinically safe. The role has significant potential to expand into other areas as the need arises, including delivering interoperability solutions for other IT systems used by pathology such as Genetics and Transplant Immunology. The post-holder will liaise with pathology IT specialists and suppliers to gather requirements and propose options, recommending the most appropriate course of action and supporting implementation within agreed parameters of cost, time, and quality.
