Interim Corporate Controller

We are currently partnering with a well-established organization to hire an experienced

Interim Corporate Controller

for a long-term contract opportunity.

Hybrid:

3 days per week in office

Contract:

Approximately 15–18 months

This is a hands-on

doer/reviewer leadership role

for a strong accounting professional who can manage the month-end and statutory reporting environment while providing leadership to an established finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting and reporting processes

Oversee operational accounting, financial reporting, statutory reporting, audit and tax-related activities

Manage and develop a finance team, including experienced accounting professionals/managers

Review journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements and supporting schedules

Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow activities

Oversee accounting across multiple wholly owned legal entities

Work within an

ASPE reporting environment

Partner with external auditors and tax advisors

Drive process improvements and support finance-related projects

Provide financial guidance and business partnering across the organization

What We’re Looking For:

Strong hands-on accounting and financial reporting experience

Solid

ASPE

knowledge

Experience working within a multi-entity organization; multinational exposure is an asset

Good general understanding of corporate tax and statutory reporting

Proven ability to operate as both a

hands-on contributor and people leader

Strong month-end and year-end close experience

Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills

Strong systems and Excel skills; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is an asset

This opportunity would be ideal for an experienced

Corporate Controller, Controller, Senior Finance Manager, or Senior Accounting Manager

who enjoys remaining hands-on while leading a team.
