Our public sector client is seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst (5+ years) to support Food and Retail system transformation using point of sale and food service systems, OCM, and training

Join a large-scale Food and Retail transformation initiative focused on multi-location deployment and operational modernization. This contract supports documentation, deployment, and sustainment activities for point of sale and food service systems across business operations. The role includes requirements gathering, testing, training, and project oversight within a complex enterprise environment. The initial term is 12 months with a possible extension.

12 month contract to start, remote on the lower mainland or Victoria.

Must Haves

• 5+ years in IT Business Analyst
• OCM and training experience supporting business and system transformation
• Requirements gathering , project planning support, and test case development
• Degree or diploma in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline

Nice to Have

• Food and Retail technology and multi-location deployment experience
• Agile/Lean or Waterfall methodologies
• Business Analysis (BABOK), ITIL, or Project Management certifications
• Inventory or materials management systems experience

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and stakeholder workshops across multiple business units
• Analyze business strategy and translate requirements into functional and system requirements
• Define solution scope, objectives, success criteria, and business cases
• Guide solution design, development, testing, and implementation with technology teams
• Lead quality assurance activities including test strategy, test plans, and acceptance validation
• Support change management, implementation reviews, and transition to sustainment
• Develop training and knowledge transfer materials
