Intermediate C#/.NET Engineer

Cambridge | Hybrid | £40,000–£50,000 + 5% bonus

We’re working with a global industrial technology company that provides software used by organisations across industries including manufacturing, energy, infrastructure and engineering. Their technology supports the full industrial lifecycle, helping businesses design, build, operate and optimise complex assets.

The company is continuing to invest heavily in cloud technology, connected industrial data and AI, and is expanding its R&D engineering team in Cambridge.

The opportunity Are you a .NET engineer who enjoys working across different parts of a technology stack rather than being boxed into one narrow area?

You’ll join an R&D team developing a modern platform that brings together industrial data, cloud technologies, microservices and AI-driven capabilities.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing scalable applications and services using C#/.NET
• Working within a microservices and Kubernetes-based environment
• Contributing to cloud infrastructure and automation
• Working with distributed systems and modern application architectures
• Building secure applications, including authentication and authorisation
• Collaborating with engineers across the UK and international teams
• Using modern AI/LLM developer tools as part of your everyday engineering workflow

What we’re looking for

• Around 3–5 years of software engineering experience
• Strong C#/.NET development experience
• Exposure to microservices and cloud-based systems
• Some experience with Kubernetes, containers or Infrastructure as Code
• Good understanding of APIs and distributed applications
• A broad engineering mindset and willingness to get involved across the stack
• Comfortable using AI coding tools such as Codex or Claude
