Intermediate Construction Accountant

Use QuickBooks and project accounting expertise as an Intermediate Accountant supporting a Metro Vancouver mechanical contractor five days in office.

This Intermediate Accountant manages broad accounting functions for commercial, industrial, and residential plumbing and mechanical projects. The work includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, project cost tracking, financial reporting, and closing support. The successful candidate works autonomously while collaborating with management and finance support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage invoicing, progress billing, and payment applications
• Code accounts payable expenses to specific projects
• Oversee payroll processing and timely execution
• Prepare weekly project cost tracking reports
• Maintain accurate financial data within QuickBooks

Requirements:

• Experience in general accounting and project-based financial management
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• QuickBooks experience and spreadsheet familiarity
• Knowledge of construction or contracting accounting preferred
