Intermediate Machine Learning Data Scientist

Apply Python and predictive analytics as an Intermediate Data Scientist in Montreal’s hybrid financial services environment. Work onsite three days weekly.

Abbeal seeks an Intermediate Data Scientist for a Canadian financial institution. You will build machine learning solutions that inform business decisions, partnering closely with data engineers and AI engineers. The work combines statistical modelling, experimentation, feature engineering, and model interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build machine learning and predictive analytics models
• Conduct A/B testing and causal inference experimentation
• Engineer features and evaluate model performance
• Support production deployment with data and AI engineers
• Deliver data storytelling and prescriptive recommendations

Requirements:

• At least three years of data science experience
• Quantitative bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree
• Python, SQL, pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn
• Databricks notebooks, workflows, and Spark experience
• Fluent French and English; hybrid Montreal availability
