Prositeweb is a Montreal-based company specializing in the development of custom digital solutions. We support organizations in the creation and evolution of advanced websites, internal applications, transactional platforms, and integrations with external systems. We are looking for an intermediate PHP developer capable of working on existing projects, quickly understanding architecture, and proposing reliable, secure, and easy-to-maintain solutions.

Your main responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications in PHP;
• Create and modify custom extensions, modules and features;
• Participate in projects carried out with Joomla, WordPress, Drupal, Magento or Laravel;
• Design and integrate REST APIs;
• Analyze and correct technical problems;
• Optimize code performance, security, and quality;
• Working with MySQL or MariaDB databases;
• Participate in the modernization and migration of existing applications;
• Document the developments made;
• Collaborating with other team members to meet project objectives and deadlines.

Desired profile

• At least three years of professional experience in PHP development;
• Good command of object-oriented PHP;
• Good understanding of MVC architectures;
• Experience with at least one PHP CMS or framework, including Joomla, WordPress, Drupal, Magento or Laravel;
• Good command of MySQL or MariaDB;
• Experience with Git;
• Ability to understand and improve existing code;
• Autonomy, rigor and a concern for quality;
• Ability to analyze a need beyond simple technical execution;
• Good command of French, both spoken and written.

Skills considered as assets

• Experience with Linux, AlmaLinux or Ubuntu;
• Knowledge of Nginx and server environment management;
• Knowledge of Composer and PSR standards;
• Experience in API development and integration of external services;
• Experience with e-commerce platforms;
• Knowledge of deployment and migration processes;
• Ability to communicate in English.
