Intermediate Rust Software Developer

Build reliable product experiences with Rust at 1Password, working remotely across Canada and the United States. Apply strong systems judgment across customer-facing workflows. As an Intermediate Developer on the Everyday Experience team, you will shape daily customer surfaces and workflows. The work spans product quality, cross-platform foundations, backend services, and reliability. You will collaborate with Product, Design, Security, Browser, Backend, and Infrastructure teams. Key Responsibilities:

Contribute features, improvements, and bug fixes across codebases Participate throughout planning, development, release, and customer support Write unit and integration tests for new and existing code Submit documented merge requests and review technical proposals Support customer teams and investigate difficult product issues Requirements:

Strong Rust knowledge and development experience Ownership of complex systems from design through production support Comfort across backend services, CI/CD, reliability, and operations Technical judgment balancing quality, speed, reliability, and maintainability Effective use and validation of AI-assisted development tools Bring Rust expertise, systems ownership, testing discipline, and pragmatic technical judgment to 1Password’s Everyday Experience team.
