Intern Analyst, Private Markets (May 2027 - August 2027)

THE ROLE
We are actively looking for an Intern Analyst, Private Markets, to join our team in May 2027, for a 4-month internship (May 2027 – August 2027) . This role will be part of a growing and dynamic Investment team. The incumbent will be responsible for providing research support for projects related to private markets.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate student to gain valuable work experience in a fast-growing, dynamic environment while being a part of a new pension plan.
This role is based in downtown Toronto in a hybrid work environment, allowing employees the flexibility to work remotely and in-office (minimum two days per week in-office).

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Secondary research and due diligence
- Coordinating with internal and/or external stakeholders
- Editing and writing support for internal and external presentations
- Support asset management reporting and related deliverables
- Contribute to UPP’s reputation as a respectful employer, partner, and participant in the financial sector.
- Collaborate with other industry participants to promote a sustainable economy and society.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Secondary research skills
- Solid grasp of MS Office applications – particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with / keen interest in global business, investment, and private markets
