Internal Controls Audit Analyst

Build internal controls expertise with Bison Transport by evaluating compliance, financial processes, and operational efficiency through data-driven audits. Collaborate across departments.

As a Junior Internal Auditor, you will work with the Corporate Controller and department leaders on audit programs. Responsibilities include reviewing GST/PST, driver pay, invoicing, purchasing, inventory controls, and IRP/IFTA fuel tax programs. Your analysis will support effective processes and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits of tax, pay, billing, and purchasing activities
• Review controls for inventory and fuel tax programs
• Maintain audit programs monitoring compliance and performance
• Review prior initiatives for continued control effectiveness
• Advise leaders on risk management and process governance

Requirements:

• Objective analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of accounting processes and data analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities independently and collaboratively
• SQL experience is an asset
