Outpatient Internal Medicine locums in Rhode Island with a set weekday schedule and no call, seeing a primarily Medicare, age 65+ patient panel.

Practice Setting

• Outpatient clinic setting providing traditional primary care for an older population.
• Patient mix includes diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, mild cognitive impairment, CHF, and coronary artery disease history.
• Support includes nurse practitioners, MA and scribe support, plus clinic RNs.
• Average volume is 16 to 18 patients per day.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Full time coverage required.
• No call.
• Initial assignment is 3 months, strongly prefer 6 months.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Rhode Island license required, will not wait for license.
• Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• DEA required.
