Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
- Provide Advanced GI coverage including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, Flex Sig, and related procedures
- Scheduled 8-hour weekday shifts focused primarily on inpatient and outpatient procedures and hospital service coverage
- Locum coverage typically does not include clinic duties
- Initial coverage need is January 4, 2027 through January 25, 2027, including two days of orientation; open to candidates who can cover part of these dates
- Additional future coverage dates will be available beyond the initial need
- Call schedule to be determined; most likely scenario is backup/2nd call for weekends and will be discussed prior to shift confirmation
- Board certification required; credentialing timeframe is approximately 45-120 days
- Perform upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser)
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography)
- Perform small bowel biopsy
- Perform lower GI endoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Perform colonoscopy including with biopsy and excision of polyp
- Perform endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
- Nearest airport is Duluth International Airport
