Overview

In this role, you will lead Intrum’s UK Investment & Analytics function to maximise portfolio returns through data-driven investment and governance. You’ll shape acquisition strategy, perform valuation and underwriting, and provide strategic insight to executives and investment committees. Expect to drive predictive analytics, forecasting, and performance reporting to support growth. You will lead and develop a high-performing analytics team in a regulated, cross-functional setting.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee portfolio valuation, pricing, acquisition strategy, underwriting and performance optimization.
  • Drive profitability through data-led decision making, analytics and commercial insight.
  • Identify and evaluate new portfolio opportunities, lead due diligence, valuation and investment recommendations.
  • Provide strategic input to Executive Leadership and Investment Committees on opportunities, risks and market trends.
  • Lead analytics, forecasting, financial modelling and performance reporting to support decisions and strategy.
  • Ensure governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and disciplined capital deployment.
  • Develop and inspire investment and analytics teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and FCA/Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Operate under the Senior Managers Certification Regime and meet its requirements.
Key requirements
  • Senior leadership experience in purchase investment, credit management, financial services, banking, debt purchasing or asset-backed investments.
  • Proven success in portfolio valuation, pricing, due diligence, and investment decision making using sophisticated financial and analytical models.
  • Deep expertise in analytics (including AI), forecasting, data science, and data-driven commercial insights.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to influence executive stakeholders, investment committees and the board.
  • Experience in regulated environments with governance, risk management and FCA considerations.
  • Proven track record of analytical transformation, process optimization and capability development.
