iOS Engineer

In this role, you will help build and maintain Starling’s in-house iOS app, delivering secure, accessible experiences to millions of customers. You’ll work in cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, collaborative culture that values ownership and simplicity. The role blends hands-on coding with shaping the mobile product, architecture, and developer tooling to improve reliability and user experience. • Develop and maintain the iOS app using UIKit with MVVM-C architecture
• Collaborate in cross-functional feature teams, contributing to architecture and delivery
• Prioritize security and accessibility in new features, bug fixes, and improvements
• Write clean, maintainable code and ship features from early in the project
• Contribute to in-house tools and frameworks to boost developer productivity
• Commit, review, and ship code from the first week, ensuring high quality and testing
• Balance simplicity with capability to reduce complexity and faults

• Proficient in Swift and UIKit
• Experience with MVVM-C architecture
• Focus on accessibility and security in implementation
• Ownership mindset: build, ship, and maintain code and processes
• Knowledge of or exposure to RxSwift; strong reactive programming foundation (plus)
• Familiarity with automation and code quality tools (e.g., SwiftFormat, SwiftLint, Danger) (plus)
• Experience with UIKit concepts and components is a must
• Comfort working in a cross-functional environment and contributing to product design
