Overview

As an iOS Engineer in ASOS's Customer Experience team, you will build and maintain mobile features used by millions of customers worldwide. You will work with a cross-functional group of engineers, product managers and designers to deliver scalable, well-tested iOS apps using Swift. The role focuses on quality, performance and accessibility while contributing to the evolution of our iOS platform at scale. This is an opportunity to shape how customers discover and shop fashion online through modern mobile experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Build high-quality features for millions of users
  • Develop scalable, reliable, and well-tested iOS applications
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers from idea to launch
  • Operate within cross-functional, agile teams to address customer and business challenges
  • Own your work and contribute ideas to improve products, processes and engineering practices
  • Support quality, performance, accessibility and maintainability of mobile apps
  • Participate in technical discussions and evolve the iOS platform as we scale
  • Learn from experienced engineers and share knowledge within the wider team
Key requirements
  • Experience building iOS apps with Swift and core iOS frameworks
  • Proficiency with Xcode, Interface Builder and Auto Layout for responsive UI
  • Understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and design principles
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and architecture concepts
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable code and improve existing codebases
  • Experience with iPhone and iPad screen sizes
  • Familiarity with unit testing and willingness to contribute to test coverage
  • Experience with UI automation tools, or willingness to learn them
