Overview

In this role, you will help build and scale iOS mobile experiences used by millions of ASOS customers. You’ll work within the Customer Experience team to deliver high-quality features and robust apps using Swift and modern iOS tooling. You’ll collaborate with product, design and engineering to bring ideas from concept to launch, while improving performance, accessibility and maintainability. This is a hands-on role in a collaborative, growth-focused culture with real impact on how customers discover and shop fashion online.

Responsibilities
  • Build and deliver high-quality features for a global user base
  • Develop scalable, reliable, and well-tested iOS applications
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers from concept to launch
  • Work in agile, cross-functional teams to solve customer, business and technical challenges
  • Take ownership of work and contribute ideas to improve products and processes
  • Support quality, performance, accessibility, and maintainability of mobile apps
  • Contribute to technical discussions and evolve the iOS platform as it scales
  • Learn from experienced engineers and share knowledge across the engineering community
Key requirements
  • Experience building iOS applications using Swift and core iOS frameworks
  • Proficiency with Xcode, Interface Builder and Auto Layout for responsive UI
  • Understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and design principles
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and architecture concepts
  • Interest in writing clear, maintainable code and improving codebases
  • Experience building apps for iPhone and iPad
  • Familiarity with unit testing and contributing to test coverage
  • Experience with UI automation tools or willingness to learn them
