IS Solutions Manager

As an IS Solutions Manager in Kuehne+Nagel UK Contract Logistics, you design and deliver secure, scalable technology solutions that enable growth and operational excellence. You will lead discovery, design, implementation and benefits realization, collaborating with business stakeholders, IS teams and partners. Your role blends technical leadership with people management to drive innovation across the application and service portfolio. You help shape digital solutions that support customers, tenders and performance in a dynamic logistics environment.

• Lead solution discovery and translate business needs into clear technical and functional designs
• Own the full solution lifecycle from concept to adoption and benefits review
• Develop and validate solution designs, costings and implementation approaches
• Ensure designs align with strategy, architecture standards, governance and best practices
• Embed security, resilience, continuity, data protection and risk management into designs
• Provide oversight of the application and service portfolio and identify optimisation opportunities
• Collaborate with business leaders, suppliers and IS teams to prioritise demand and drive outcomes
• Advise on technology choices, suppliers, investments and emerging innovations

• Significant experience in solutions architecture, design or senior IS role
• Ability to translate requirements into secure, scalable technology solutions
• Strong grasp of application, data, integration and infrastructure architecture including APIs
• Experience building business cases, cost models and presenting to senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, business continuity and service management
• Commercial experience with supplier management, licensing, contracts and TCO
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to simplify complex concepts
