We're looking for an experienced 2nd Line IT Engineer to join our Nottingham IT team, providing hands on support across our manufacturing sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, building strong relationships with users, and making a real impact in a fast-paced business. This role offers a varied mix of incident management, infrastructure ownership, project delivery, and collaboration with colleagues across the wider IT function. This is a site-based role and due to some possible travel between sites, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential. We're looking for someone with proven 2nd line support experience who can bring technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a customer-first approach to support our growing business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as the on-site IT point of contact for Nottingham, providing hands on and remote support.
  • Managing and resolving escalated incidents from the Service Desk, ensuring SLA targets are met.
  • Taking ownership of site IT infrastructure, equipment, and asset management.
  • Working closely with 2nd and 3rd Line teams to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions.
  • Supporting the delivery of IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the Group.
  • Form part of the Out of Hours team taking turns on a rota-based process to act as an escalation point for out of hours calls.
  • Proven experience in a 2nd Line IT Support or IT Engineer role, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, desktop and laptop support, printers, networking, VPNs, and end-user technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to support.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, balancing incident resolution, project work, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle.
