Magna Mining’s key objective is to become the next nickel and copper producing company in Canada by executing a growth strategy that is focused exclusively on the historic nickel producing district of Sudbury, ON.

We intend to achieve this objective via the creation of a Sudbury focused, hub and spoke production model, with our existing Shakespeare project as the hub. The path to the creation of a significant new battery metals producing Canadian company is to execute a long term, multi-faceted growth strategy.

Magna Mining is growing, and we're looking for an IT Analyst to join our team!

Whether you're just graduating, finishing up your studies, or looking for your next opportunity in IT, this is a chance to gain hands‑on experience and grow your career in a dynamic mining environment.

Based out of our North Range operations, this role involves travelling between Magna's mine sites to provide hands‑on IT support. From troubleshooting everyday IT issues to setting up equipment, supporting employees, and getting involved in IT projects, you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies and make a difference across our operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Provide day‑to‑day technical support to employees with hardware, software, and network‑related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment setup, system access, and account management.
  • Maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with desktop device systems, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Monitor system performance and escalations issues when required.
  • Travel between Magna's mine sites to provide on‑site IT support as needed.
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Support compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Take on add itional responsibilities as required to support the IT team.

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you :

  • Have or are working toward a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Are interested in building your career in IT — recent graduates and those graduating soon are encouraged to apply!
  • Have previous IT experience through employment, co‑op placements, internships, school projects, or personal projects — considered an asset, but not required.
  • Enjoy troubleshooting technology and finding solutions to technical challenges.
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and computer systems.
  • Understand basic networking concepts and IT security best practices.
  • Are organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Have strong communication skills and enjoy helping others with technology.
  • Are comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Are eager to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges.
  • Are willing and able to travel between Magna's mine sites as required.
  • Have experience in a mining or industrial environment — considered an asset, but not required.

Minimum Salary: $50,000
