IT Asset and Configuration Analyst

In this role, you will manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets to keep the CMDB accurate and compliant, enabling cost control and informed IT decisions. You’ll work with IT operations, service management, and stakeholders to ensure assets deliver value throughout their lifecycle. The position emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement within a security-conscious environment. A strong SACM focus and the opportunity to influence audits and reporting provide meaningful impact.

• Monitor end-to-end asset lifecycle in line with SACM best practices
• Maintain an accurate, compliant CMDB aligned to standards and regulatory requirements
• Conduct asset tracking, inventory checks, and compliance reviews
• Generate regular reports on asset utilisation, cost, and compliance
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
• Assist stakeholders with asset-related queries and support requests
• Support internal and external audits and compliance activities
• Assist with testing of ITAM tooling integrations and CMDB processes

• UK Government Security Clearance obtainable or held
• 2+ years’ experience in IT Asset Management or related role
• Experience with ITSM management tools (e.g. ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Remedy, Snow/Flexara)
• Solid understanding of SACM, IT asset lifecycle management (ITAM) and inventory best practices
• Awareness of software licensing models (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle)
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience desirable
