Overview
In this role you will lead SACM activities to ensure accurate asset data, governance, and cost control. You will work with IT and service management teams to keep the CMDB reliable and compliant, while driving improvements in SACM processes and reporting. You’ll help translate data into actionable insights that support regulatory requirements and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on, collaborative role with a clear impact on asset governance and service stability.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement SACM policies, standards and procedures
- Operationally lead a team in day-to-day activities
- Ensure the CMDB is accurate, up-to-date and compliant with standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop and optimise SACM processes and advise stakeholders and ITIL functions
- Develop and deliver regular SACM reports with insights and recommendations
- Monitor asset utilisation and compliance with cost-optimisation recommendations
- Conduct internal and external audits and compliance activities, including risk management
- Assist with testing and configuration of Asset/CI tooling integrations
- Ability to obtain or hold UK Government Security Clearance
- 2+ years’ experience in IT Asset Management or a related role
- Experience with ITSM / asset management tools (e.g. ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Remedy)
- Excellent working knowledge of SACM structure and its purpose
- Understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and inventory best practices
- Awareness of software licensing models (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
