Overview

In this IT Business Analyst role, you will bridge business needs with technology within a global insurance organisation. You’ll work with business and technical stakeholders to analyse processes, capture requirements, and translate them into practical specs for delivery. You’ll support change initiatives from discovery through testing and training, aligning with governance and standards. The position offers hybrid London working and a chance to contribute to meaningful insurance-domain change and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Elicit, document and prioritise functional and non-functional requirements via interviews, workshops and analyses
  • Map AS-IS processes and design TO-BE states
  • Support business case development and use data analysis for decisions on systems and processes
  • Translate requirements into clear specifications and user stories for technical teams and suppliers
  • Develop and execute system test plans, coordinate UAT and support training and implementation
  • Maintain process maps, data models and system documentation using Enterprise Architecture tools
  • Collaborate with technical and support teams to resolve system queries and issues
  • Ensure change activities align with project governance and internal standards
Key requirements
  • Proven BA experience within insurance
  • Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills with workshops and interviews
  • Experience with process analysis, modelling, data analysis and data modelling
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative, adaptable approach and interest in delivering business change
  • Desirable: experience with IT systems development and third-party vendors
  • Desirable: SQL or database querying tools such as Toad
  • Desirable: Enterprise Architecture tools and documentation
  • Desirable: experience across Agile and Waterfall
  • Desirable: BA or Change Management qualifications
