The objective is to ensure SOM updates are accurately implemented and propagated across connected enterprise platforms. - Manage SOM change requests from intake through review, approval, implementation, validation, and closure.
- Validate that requests contain the required business rationale, ownership, hierarchy, taxonomy, and supporting information.
- Monitor automated workflows and downstream system updates, investigating and coordinating the resolution of exceptions.
- Maintain business process documentation, governance procedures, operational reporting, and data quality standards.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across Service Management, platform teams, data owners, and technology partners to ensure changes are understood and completed.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for application enhancements, workflow changes, and integrations.
- Identify and recommend process automation, reporting, and workflow improvement opportunities based on operational trends.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- 4+ years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Application Operations, Service Management, Data Governance, or a related technology role.
- Experience managing operational workflows, intake processes, approvals, and issue resolution.
- Experience validating data quality and partnering with stakeholders to resolve data issues.
- Proven ability to coordinate work across multiple teams and drive requests to completion through established governance processes.
- Experience with operational reports, metrics, and dashboards.
Skills:
- Strong experience documenting business processes, business rules, requirements, and procedures.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Executive presence and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with senior leaders.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ServiceNow, LeanIX, Planview, Workday, OneTrust, or similar enterprise platforms is valued.
- Familiarity with service management, service taxonomy, application portfolio management, or operating model data is an asset.
- Experience supporting automated workflows, integrations, and exception management is beneficial.
- An understanding of data stewardship, governance frameworks, ownership models, and audit controls is helpful.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies, product backlogs, and user stories is considered a plus.
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, ITIL, or Lean Six Sigma are assets.
Work Environment
This role supports a hybrid work model. The position may require occasional travel based on business needs. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a standard office or remote work environment and use typical business technology equipment.
