IT Business Analyst

In this role you translate business needs into clear requirements and architect artefacts to support IT-enabled programmes. You will map current-state processes, identify transformation opportunities, and define business capabilities aligned with strategy and regulatory expectations. You’ll collaborate with project teams, governance forums, and stakeholders to ensure feasible, auditable solutions that deliver measurable benefits. You contribute to continuous improvement of analytical tools and methodologies within a governance-driven PMO framework. • Translate business needs into testable functional and non-functional requirements
• Maintain traceability matrices linking requirements to objectives and compliance standards
• Produce board-ready docs, process maps, and operational artefacts
• Maintain business models and architectural artefacts with updates from regulatory or market changes
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and delivery teams to validate feasibility
• Support change control, UAT planning, and post-implementation reviews
• Assess business impact of change and develop clear IT/ business requirements
• Ensure solutions align with architectural and operational integrity
• Ensure documentation meets audit, legal, and regulatory scrutiny
• Contribute to governance forums, assurance reviews, and risk mitigation
• Support continuous improvement of analytical tools, templates, and methodologies
• Engage stakeholders to capture needs, validate requirements, and manage expectations
• Facilitate workshops and communicate outputs to diverse audiences

• 4-7 years’ experience in supporting technology projects and programmes
• Experience in business analysis and business architecture within technology projects and programmes
• Professional certifications (e.g. BCS, IIBA, TOGAF, Lean Six Sigma)
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models
• Proven ability to produce compliant, auditable documentation and architectural artefacts
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders, legal teams, and technical leads
• Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks in regulated sectors
• Skilled in Jira, Confluence, Visio, BPMN, and enterprise modelling platforms
• Facilitate workshops and collate outcomes for communication across business levels
